Editing 22/10/13

In todays lesson we continued editing and we found out that parts of the lip syncing shots were not in sync and that we had to sync the footage with the audio. After we had synced the footage with the audio, we needed to cut between all the different lip syncing shots. This was difficult, because we needed the shots to be quick, but long enough so that the audience are able to see some lip syncing, but we also needed to fit in each scenario, mixed with some lip syncing. Luckily we were able to fit all the scenarios and mix in a bit of lip syncing.

After we finished that we then decided that we would add in the runway shots at the end of music video. Originally we decided that the runway shots would be continuous, but we realised that this didn't have any sort of movement and variety for the audience to view as there were no cutaways to other scenes. So we used the razor tool and cut the runway shots and then dragged the individual cuts to form small spaces so that other footage could be revealed.

ADD SCREENSHOTS

The next task is to have people evaluate our rough cut music video and get some advice on how to improve our music video or what works really well and should stay. Also we are hoping to add more small cutaways to add even more variety.
