XL Recordings is a
British independent record label. On average they only release six albums a
year, however, XL Recordings operates across a range of genres, their
previous signed-up artists include The Prodigy, Radiohead, Dizzee Rascal,
The xx, and Adele.
XL Recordings is the
first major record label that our artist; Wiley had worked with between
2004-2005.
Warner Music Group is a major
American global record company, headquartered in New York City, founded in 1958
as Warner Bros. The largest American-owned music conglomerate worldwide, it is
one of the 'big three' recording companies (the three largest in the global
music industry). With a multi-billion dollar annual turnover, WMG employs in
excess of 4,000 people and has operations in more than 50 countries throughout
the world.
Wiley is at the present working
with WMG.
I think that XL Recordings is the most
suitable choice to represent our star persona as it co-operates with a variety
of different artists and music genres- including grime. It is also an
individual label and not as well-known as WMG therefore it would be more likely
to sign on our artist that has not established their reputation.
