Age
The type of audience that we are targeting is mid-teens to
young adults, between the ages of 15-25, as generally young people listen to grime
genre music.
Gender
We are targeting both male and female genders. However,
arguably it can be said that this product is more appealing to young males as
the lyrics in the song can be interpreted as objectifying women, which could be
possibly offensive to some female listeners.
Fashion taste
For the choice fashion style we would expect to see urban type
of clothing such as: hoodies, trainers and snapbacks. In a sense reflects the artists’
look.
Interests
Some of the interests that we would typically expect to be
participating in:
·
Going to big summer festivals e.g. Glastonbury,
Reading and Leeds, T in the park and O2 Wireless Festival.
Taking part in outdoor sports such as football
or basketball.
·
Watching reality TV programmes such as The Big
Brother.
·
Playing hard-core video games such as Call of
Duty or Grand Theft Auto.
Similar brands they
may like
Our audience is likely to seek music similar genre to grime
such as hip-hop, UK garage or electro house. They may also seek out similar
artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder or Roll Deep.
Where they read about
music and how they access it
Listeners can follow artists through social networking sites
such MySpace. This particular format allows the artist/band to post photos,
upload their songs and keep all who are interested informed about upcoming
shows.
YouTube is a primary example as to place where fans may seek
to listen to their artist’s music and view their music videos.
